Shay Given has backed one of his former clubs in Newcastle to replicate another in Manchester City once the takeover of the Magpies is complete.
A takeover of Newcastle is believed to be close with the Premier League having been investigating a £300m deal from Amanda Staveley's consortium, which is being backed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund.
It comes with reigning Premier League holders Manchester City having been taken over by Sheikh Mansour back in 2008. The Etihad outfit have gone from strength to strength under the wealthy owner, winning four Premier League titles since the buy.
