Newcastle United could make Philippe Coutinho a marquee signing when the transfer window reopens. The former Liverpool midfielder has struggled since moving to Barcelona in January of 2018, and it seems as though Bayern Munich will reject the chance to make his loan move permanent when it expires.
The 28-year-old could now be offered a chance to return to the Premier League by Newcastle should their takeover be successful, with reports suggesting that talks have already begun.
The bid, which is led by Amanda Staveley, the Reuben brothers and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is currently in the hands of the Premier League and their famous Owners' and Directors Test.
