Good Morning Britain star declares 'I'm retiring' as they take lengthy ITV break

Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold has decided to take a substantial break from the ITV morning show but reassures viewers he'll return later in the month.

The well-known 54 year old entertainment correspondent quipped about "retiring" while discussing his temporary departure from delivering showbiz news, something he's done for years on the programme.

Nevertheless, Richard let slip that he'll be back in action for the annual Pride of Britain awards, which are generally held in late October.

Following a segment giving an update about Big Brother on Tuesday's edition, Susanna Reid tried to direct viewers to more news from the show tomorrow, before realising her co-star's impending absence.
