Optical illusions are made to baffle the brain and this latest one could leave you scratching your head for days. The Scintillating Starburst illusion is an image of concentric polygons that makes people see non-existent rays of light.It causes the brain to connect the spaces between the polygons to make it seem as though a beam of light is radiating from them.
Michael Karlovich, founder of art company Recurisa, published his latest study in i-Perception with neuroscientist Pascal Wallisch.
