Prince Harry needed a beer to settle his nerves before telling the Queen that he and Meghan Markle were about to "detonate a bomb", according to a new book.
Royal author Valentine Low describes the moment in Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown, set to be released on Thursday, October 6 and serialised in The Times.
According to Low, who spoke to a number of sources for the book, Harry spent some time in a hotel bar before telling the Queen that Meghan was going to sue the Mail on Sunday. Low writes that Harry rang the Queen two days before he and Meghan's "explosive" statement on the matter was released. Harry was also set to publish his own statement, accusing the British tabloids of waging a “ruthless campaign” against his wife.
