By Mick HydesNeilston held their nerve to keep up their perfect start to the season to beat Greenock and shoot to the top of Conference B.The Farmer’s Boys bagged their seventh win from seven after scraping through a close contest at Ravenscraig, with a fortuitous Adam Forde strike twenty minutes from time producing the telling blow.Nock were handed a double knock before kick-off when striker Dylan McLaughlin and defender Ben Doherty both pulled up in the warm-up.
That meant a quick re-shuffle was required, and it was a sign that it was not to be their day with live-wire striker McLaughlin a noteable absentee throughout.In a cagey opening period there was little to separate the sides, with Neilston’s Kieron Brophy providing probing runs.
