Police launched a murder investigation after a 50-year-old man was killed on Davyhulme Road in Stretford on Friday night. The victim was taken to hospital with a knife wound to his chest following an 'altercation' at a house.
He was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. A man, aged 58, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
Detectives say the stabbing - which happened at around 9.40pm - is being treated as an 'isolated incident' and they are 'not looking for anyone else at this time'.
