The husband of jailed Nazanin Zhagari-Ratcliffe says they hope to try for another baby when Iran finally lets her come home.
Nazanin was sentenced to five years in 2016 after being convicted of spying – which she has always denied and the UK Government backs her on.
Five-year-old daughter Gabriella, with her when she was arrested, only returned from Tehran last year. But recent returns of Western prisoners and a temporary release for Nazanin forced by the Covid-19 crisis have given husband Richard Ratcliffe fresh hope.
And he says having another child will help them heal their “broken family”. Richard, 45, said: “I know the first thing Nazanin will want is to have another baby.
