NASA is tracking a large asteroid up to 200 metres wide heading towards Earth’s orbit today.The asteroid, labelled 2020 PM7, is estimated to be between 91m and a whopping 200m – which is almost as tall as San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
It is due to safely fly by today, September 29, at a speed of eight kilometres a second, equivalent to 17,895mph.The space rock is estimate to pass the plant at 2.16pm Eastern Standard Time, which is 7.16pm British Summer Time.To put the asteroid into perspective 2020 PM7, at its highest estimate, is twice as tall as the Statue of Liberty in New York and as tall as the Gherkin, which stands at 180m.It is also nearly as big as the height of Golden Gate Bridge, which measures 227m in height.The.
