Spaceflight company Virgin Galactic is partnering with NASA to develop a high-speed vehicle for "point-to-point" travel. The partnership will see the company take another step towards its goal of developing high-speed transportation in a sustainable way.
NASA has separately been pursuing the development of supersonic speed air travel and has already created a test plane – Lockheed Martin Supersonic X-59, a low-boon supersonic test plane.
Founder, Richard Branson'sVirgin Galactic has already begun work on developing, engineering and flight-testing its existing vehicles, including the WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft, and the SpaceShipTwo winged spacecraft.
