LONG Lost Family viewers were left in floods of tears after a man discovered his birth mother had died just three months before starting his search.
Roy Sibblies, 52, was 17 when he discovered that the woman who had brought him up wasn’t his mother. His real mum Janet had been forced to leave him with his Jamaican birth father Eccleston, because, back in 1969, she believed her parents “would not accept a black baby in the family”.
The truck driver, from Greater Manchester, said he started the search for his biological mum after Joan passed away, out of "respect" for the woman who raised him.
But unfortunately show experts discovered that Janet had died in West Sussex in 2019, just a few months after Roy started to look for her.
