An alcoholic slashed his friend's throat and stabbed him in the heart before propping his dead body up against a settee. Charles Fraser was discovered "lounging in the living room" Andrew Clark's "lifeless body was propped against a settee".
He had murdered his drinking buddy with a kitchen knife in a "mindless act of extreme violence" a judge said today, as he jailed him for life.
Sentencing Fraser, Judge James Sampson set the minimum term at 12 years and 362 days to serve before he can apply for parole, reports Nottinghamshire Live.
The judge said the stabbing happened at Fraser's flat in Epperstone Court, West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, "for reasons only you will ever know".
