Mum's sepsis warning after 'red line' appears on son's arm when he cut his hand

The mum said in the Tiny Hearts Education group: "A week or so ago the littlest fell over at the zoo. "He took quite a bashing but once we got home I cleaned him up."I rang school on Farm school day to make sure he washed his hands after digging and I tried hard to ensure it was kept clean."After a few days, the mum said the wounds didn't appear infected but she noticed a "red line".She continued: "I wasn't happy as I noticed red tracking down his vein.
I then checked his elbow – the same."The mum took her son to an after hours GP but when the doctor saw the wound he "commended her" for recognising it.It turned out her eight-year-old son had contracted.
