The mother of a teenage girl who was found hanged has raised concerns that her daughter was sexually assaulted in the time leading up to her death.
Callie Smith was found dead on the Kirklees Trail in Bury in the early hours of June 10 of last year. An inquest today heard that less than a month earlier, the 19-year-old had confided in her mother that she believed she had been raped and sexually assaulted.
