Muhammad Ahmed, 25, was sentenced to 32 months in prison at Minshull Street Crown Court today after admitting causing the death of 73-year-old Sonia Adams by dangerous driving.
The court heard Mrs Adams was returning home from the supermarket at around 1.40pm on 26 February last year when the horrific crash occurred.
Ahmed, of Edna Street, Hyde, was driving a powerful BMW 325 sport model with a 'power booster' modification, the court heard.
