Highlands during the early hours of this morning. Emergency crews raced to the one-vehicle crash on the A836 in Castletown’s Main Street.
The crash is believed to have happened between 3am and 3.20am on Sunday.The 30-year-old driver of a black Aprila SX125 motorbike was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.Officers locked the road down for nine hours as investigations into the incident were carried out.
Drivers were able to use the road once again at around 12.30pm this afternoon.Police Scotland has now launched a probe into the crash and is urging any witnesses to come forward with information.
