It is understood "about ten" deer were shot.Today, local Tory councillors were demanding an urgent meeting with bosses of the gardens and council officers.City Mayor, Paul Dennett, has promised an investigation into the affair.The row comes after it was announced in April this year that the opening of RHS Bridgewater, in Worsley, was to be put back almost a year due the pandemic.The £44m attraction, which covers 156-acres, was due to welcome visitors on July 30th this year but will now not open until May 2021.
