Mohamed Salah should sign a new contract and stay at Liverpool due to the lack of viable alternatives, according to Darren Bent.Salah is in the form of his life with Liverpool, having scored 15 goals and registered five assists in 12 games so far this season.The Egyptian forward hit new heights last weekend when he scored a hat-trick in the Reds’ 5-0 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford.However, his future in Jurgen Klopp’s side is under some scrutiny, with the two parties yet to reach an agreement over a new contract for the 29-year-old.
Reports have suggested Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa wants £500,000 per week for his client, a huge increase on his current deal, which is set to expire in June 2023.
