Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is said to have been left so frustrated by his side's defeat to Burnley last weekend that he did not speak to the players after the game.
The Gunners slumped to the 1-0 loss to the Clarets at the Emirates in what was their fourth consecutive home loss in the Premier League, and it saw the pressure on Arteta's position ramped up even more.
They did slightly better on Wednesday, managing a 1-1 draw against Southampton despite centre-back Gabriel's second half red card.
But they remain in crisis and are still languishing down in 15th position in the table going into the weekend's trip to face Everton.
