Mikel Arteta believes football should bring in concussion substitutes in the wake of David Luiz’s head injury. Gunners boss Arteta defended the decision to allow Luiz to play on despite his shocking clash of heads with Raul Jimenez which left the Wolves striker with a fractured skull.
But Arteta says Arsenal doctor Gary O’Driscoll followed the current protocols but did suggest football’s authorities could look at temporary substitutes in the future.
