Dundee United job. Mellon has penned a two-year contract to succeed Robbie Neilson and lead the Tannadice club into the top flight for the first time in four years.
The 48-year-old met his staff and took training for the first time on Tuesday at Dundee North End’s ground. With United first-team coaches Lee McCulloch and Gordon Forrest set to team up with Neilson at Hearts, Mellon is looking at alternatives and long-term No.2 Michael Jackson – who is still at Tranmere – is likely to be in the equation.
