Meghan Markle is believed to have snubbed Royal tradition in favour of her own birthday ritual for son Archie Mountbatten Windsor, who turns three today (May 6).
Meghan has always celebrated traditions of her own for as long as she can remember one of which is practiced on birthdays and is something her mum, Doria Ragland, taught her.
Meghan once claimed on her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, that a birthday is an individual's "own personal" New Year and is a time for growth.Past goals of Meghan's included "more surprises, more opportunities to grow and more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes," adding that she always looks for "more inspiration."Meghan will likely turn her attention to Archie, who has recently become a big brother to Lillibet.
As is tradition, the Duchess may look to teach Archie what she has learnt. It was today announced that both Meghan and Prince Harry will come to the UK for Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, after all.
