Boxes of designer garments were sent to Kensington Palace after she was revealed to the world as Prince Harry's girlfriend and soon-to-be wife.
The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly told that it may have been "acceptable" to take freebies from fashion chains and designer labels as an actress, but she could no longer do so as part of the Firm.
A source told The Sun Meghan "had to be told" it was "not the done thing" as a Royal Family member, a comment she was reportedly not happy with.
