Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.
Markle was raised in Los Angeles, California and has a mixed ethnic heritage. During her studies at Northwestern University, she began playing small roles in television series and films. From 2011 to 2017, she played Rachel Zane on the American legal drama Suits. Meghan claims publishing the letter was an "invasion of her privacy" but the newspaper publisher says it was already in the public domain after being discussed in an anonymous interview in a magazine by five of her friends, the Mirror reports.
Today, Meghan saw a victory in the ongoing 10-month legal battle as a senior judge ruled the identities of her five pals should remain protected.
