McDonald's has been gradually reopening its sites across the UK over the last month. The fast food chain opened 68 more drive-thrus yesterday, with every single one expected to be open by June 4.
The phased reopening has also seen its McDelivery service expand to serve more customers. Today, another 497 sites will be opening for business again, with a further 43 restaurants offering McDelivery, as the UK's lockdown measures begin to relax.
It had previously only opened its restaurants in the south of England while it worked out new procedures. The menu at drive-thru locations is also smaller than the full McDonald's menus, with milkshakes and breakfast items unavailable for the time being.
