McDonald's is bringing the Chicken Big Mac to its UK menu for first time ever

McDonald's news may just make up for it.The Chicken Big Mac features two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and the deliciously world-famous Big Mac sauce between a three-layered bun.And food fans haven't got long to wait for it, as it will be hitting UK menus on February 2 in 1,300 restaurants.You'll have to be quick though - as fans only have until March 15 to order it from the fast food giant.Foodies will also have to fork out a little more for the chicken version, as it's 50p more expensive than a classic Big Mac, which costs £3.59.

However, prices do vary between branches.It's £4.09 for the sandwich, or £5.59 for a medium meal with chips and a drink - you can go large for £5.99.The chicken version has more calories with 544kcal, compared to a Big Mac which is 508.The Chicken Big Mac is already available on the menu in Australia - however this is the first time it’s been sold in the UK.Meanwhile, the classic Big Mac is a firm favourite amongst customers, having been on the menu in the UK since 1974.Along with the addition of the Chicken Big Mac, McDonalds has also announced the return of some fan favourites including the Double Big Mac, Mozzarella Dippers, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry and the return of the Chicken Legend.The news comes after some Maccies fans were devastated yesterday (Monday 25) after the chain confirmed that it is axing the breakfast bagel and wrap off its morning menu for good.The chain did that there will be new additions this year, although they didn't say what they could be.Get all the biggest Lifestyle news straight to your inbox.
