Maya Rudolph is halfway to becoming a stage mom. During her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week, the 49-year-old actress opened up about her new Apple series, Loot, and also about her four kids, where she admitted that she forced them all to play music. Click inside to check out what she said… As Maya is the daughter of singer Minnie Riperton and songwriter Richard Rudolph, she thinks that her four children, whom she shares with partner Paul Thomas Anderson, have a musical gift. “I think they have the gift of music and they don’t realize how great they are, so they kind of keep it to themselves,” she shared with host Seth Meyers.
Then she added that “I force them all to play, to have piano lessons.” Maya went on, joking about having them start a band during COVID lockdowns. “Well I have four kids, so during COVID I was like ‘Guys, it would be great if you played those drums,’” she shared. “‘I mean, there’s a piano, a bass, a guitar, and an amp in there.’” Watch her interview below!
