I have even been offering regular customers a free meal if they have grown-up children – or grandchildren – looking for work.
And still we are short of waiting and kitchen staff!So short that our existing team is overstretched because this week we are effectively doubling up – outdoors and in.
I have been asking around to try and find out what is going on. Some friends in hospitality tell me that they have had staff on furlough who have resigned once they are needed back.
