Marc Jurado is set to become the latest teenager to join Manchester United’s youth ranks after the 16-year-old reportedly rejected a contract offer at Barcelona in favour of moving to England.
United have made no secret of their desire to invest in young players, and were set to also finalise a deal for Joe Hugill from Sunderland’s academy setup.
In recent years, they have paid particular attention to recruiting promising young players to develop further in their academy.
Hannibal Mejbri, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder, arrived from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco last summer for a reported €5m, which could eventually rise to €10m.
