Manchester United 'face battle' to sign Benjamin Pavard and more transfer rumours
manchestereveningnews.co.ukItalian outfit Inter Milan are 'preparing a bid' for Manchester United-linked defender Benjamin Pavard. That is according to a report by French news outlet L'Equipe, which says that Inter will bid for the Bayern Munich ace in 'the coming hours'.
United are keen to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the transfer window closing and have been heavily linked with Pavard in recent weeks.
The France international, 27, is reportedly keen to leave Bayern ahead of the transfer window slamming shut in just over a fortnight's time.
Pavard can operate as either a right-back or a centre-back, meaning he would be a versatile option for the Reds. Inter, however, are reportedly long-term admirers of the former Lille defender and are said to be readying a move for his signature.
