The message has come after the club confirmed Raphael Varane will be sidelined for a number of weeks through injury. The 30-year-old came off at half-time in Saturday's 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest and was replaced by Victor Lindelof.
The Swede will likely partner Lisandro Martinez in the centre of defence for Sunday’s visit to Arsenal with the defender ahead of Harry Maguire in the pecking order.
Varane has suffered multiple injuries since his 2021 arrival. Last season he missed 16 games through injury and almost missed the World Cup due to a knee problem sustained at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.
