Evidence obtained by students shows Dame Nancy Rothwell, who has faced a wave of criticism for her handling of the coronavirus pandemic, discussing their tweets and fears that a campaign to oust her from her £253,000-a-year job was gathering pace.

It has also emerged that uni security bosses tracked individual students via CCTV during protests over rent and fees and sent 'reports' to senior management.
