A resident in a homeless hostel described it as a 'ticking time bomb' for a Covid-19 outbreak due to people not abiding to the lockdown measures.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, is currently staying in shared accommodation ran by Manchester City Council on Stockport Road, in Levenshulme.
He said ever since the government introduced lockdown measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus other people in the hostel have invited friends over or have visited family.
The resident said there are only three members of staff able to work at the moment and stressed they have been unable to stop people from leaving.
