Planes were temporarily prevented from landing at Manchester Airport last night after fire officers were called to deal with a medical emergency, it can be revealed.
Airport bosses have also acknowledged queues at security were longer than expected for passengers this morning. It has now been confirmed that the airfield was closed for 40 minutes as fire officers were called to deal with a medical emergency inside Terminal One.
