A man who claimed his newly built home had "hundreds" of issues got Persimmon to tear down the walls and re-start construction from scratch.

Dad-of-two Andrew Higgs bought his five-bedroom family home in Cardiff in June 2019 but started to notice issues with the new property as soon as he moved in with his family.

The 41-year-old said he made Charles Church, which is an upmarket house builder owned by Persimmon, immediately aware of the issues but claims he was repeatedly fobbed off. “There was a long list of snags from day one and each week we would notice additional issues of poor workmanship,” Mr Higgs explained, adding that some problems were reworked "multiple times", WalesOnline reports.
