While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are enjoying a terrific run of form on the pitch, off it there is a growing focus on what the team needs to close the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City.
Solskjaer has proven that he can assemble a fluid, dynamic, and dangerous-looking team, but the squad is still lacking in depth and quality in key areas, especially when compared to the Premier League's top two.
United have not shied away from the fact that they need to spend. They invested heavily in the squad last summer and in January, and they could be set to do the same this summer as Solskjaer looks to take the next step in the rebuild at Old Trafford.
