Manchester United have 'registered an interest' in Dayot Upamecano in a show of intent, according to reports from Germany. The RB Leipzig centre-back is one of the most sought after defenders in world football, and is also attracting attention from Real Madrid and Man City.
The Red Devils have been shaky at the back all season, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to strengthen his defence at the next available opportunity.
Frenchman Upamecano is contracted with Leipzig until 2023, meaning the German club are under no pressure to sell. But Upamecano does have a €45million (£40m) release clause in his contract, which will appeal to the Red Devils.
