Manchester United have made a last-ditch attempt to stop Angel Gomes leaving for nothing with a huge contract offer. They are desperate to stop the 19-year-old from leaving the club and moving to Chelsea.
Gomes will be out of contract at the end of June and will be able to leave the Red Devils for nothing. Negotiations have stretched on for over a year but no leeway has been made.
He rejected a proposal put forward by United in January that would have seen his £17,000-a-week wages boosted to £20,000. And according to The Sun, the latest offer would see his earnings go up to £30,000.
