Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly sent an angry DM to football website Transfermarkt before blocking them on Instagram over his estimated transfer valuation. The Manchester United legend took offence at a picture their Instagram published in March 2020 showing a Jorges Mendes XI of the best players the Portuguese agent represents.Ronaldo, who was playing for Juventus at the time, spearheaded the attack and was given a valuation of €75million (£62million), which triggered the Portugal captain into sending them a fiery message.Initially, Transfermarkt commented on their post that Ronaldo had blocked their page, but have now lifted the lid completely on the situation. They wrote at the time: “We can’t tag Ronaldo because he blocked us after he saw his market value.”Speaking to The Athletic, Tranfermarkt coordinator Christian Swartz has since explained what happened. He said: “He sent a message first to our social media guys.“They answered him, explained why, and told him ‘the people in your own age group, you are by far the number one.’”“I think it was £30-50million difference (between Ronaldo and the next player on the list).”Do you think Tranfermarkt's valuation of Ronaldo was fair?
