A man in his 60s has been rushed to hospital following a 'serious crash' on the M62. Emergency services descended on the motorway this morning (September 4) following a collision involving two cars near Salford.
The incident took place on the westbound carriageway, between junctions 11 at Birchwood and 12 at the Eccles Interchange, shortly after 6am.
Two lanes of the motorway were closed at first. Greater Manchester Police and Cheshire Police both responded to the serious crash.
