A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed during a 'commotion' outside a newsagents in Hulme tonight. Police and an ambulance were called to Stretford Road just after 6pm on Monday.
A man, 31, was taken to hospital with a stab injury to his leg although his condition was not thought to be serious. Police arrested a 56-year-old man at the scene.
Residents described how they heard homeless people who had congregated outside a newsagents 'arguing and fighting' on the pavement.
