Police were called to Brabyns Park, in Marple Bridge, this afternoon (March 23) following a report of a man in his 50s suffering from a medical episode.
Paramedics and emergency crews attended and the man was taken to hospital in a critical condition. A 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault.
She is currently in custody due to be questioned by officers. An air ambulance was photographed at the scene following the incident, which happened at around 3.35pm on Tuesday afternoon.
