Man found dead at home in Salford named as police search for relatives

A man who was found dead at a house in Salford has been named. Emergency services were called out to Seddon Street, in Little Hulton, at around 2pm on Thursday (January 2) following concerns for a man's welfare.

Greater Manchester Police sadly found a man dead inside a property. In an update issued this afternoon (Friday), GMP has named him as Roger Snelham.

Officers are appealing to find the 79-year-old's next of kin. Gas safety engineers from Cadent were among those who attended the scene along with police, firefighters and paramedics.

GMP said it believes a 'gas leak' had taken place in the house and further details about the cause of Mr Snelham's death are yet to be confirmed.
