Man dies after fire breaks out in ground-floor flat in Dundee

A man has died following a fire at a property in Dundee. Emergency services raced to the ground-floor flat in Forthill Drive around 11am on Saturday morning after smoke was spotted billowing.

Firefighters managed to get the 66-year-old man out of the building but he sadly died a short time later. A joint investigation between Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has now been launched to establish the cause of the fire.
