anti-lockdown protest in Glasgow.Demonstrators gathered in Glasgow Green and walked to the city’s George Square demanding a right to choose whether or not to wear a face mask.Hundreds participated in the march in anger at government imposed restrictions in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.Police Scotland officers attended the protest and confirmed a 56-year-old man was arrested during the event.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were aware of a protest at Glasgow Green during the afternoon of Sunday, 6 September, 2020, during which around 300 people participated in an unlawful parade to George Square.“Officers attended and provided a proportionate response and the parade passed peacefully.“A 56-year-old man has been charged in.
