Get the biggest, brightest and weirdest stories straight to your inboxA thief nicked a fire engine before driving it 15 miles to a bar with the emergency lights on.Dawson Cody Porter, 22, used a piece of wood to smash a fire station window in Eagle River, Alaska, before stealing the truck and driving it through the closed bay doors.He then switched on the emergency overhead lights and headed west towards Fisherman’s bar in Naknek, 15 miles away.Two local cops made contact with Porter through the truck’s radio, and arrested him outside the bar.Detectives are still trying to find out why he took the fire engine.Porter is believed to have made £8,000 worth of damage to the station, while the £80,000 fire.
