A man says he "owes everything" to a stranger that talked him down from the edge of a bridge. Jay Tointon, 21, said he went to the Humber Bridge after returning home from going for a few beers with his friends on July 4 at around 9pm.
He said he had been feeling like “everything was pointless”, especially after losing his dad less than two years ago. Jay, from Hessle, Yorkshire, told HullLive: “I had got in bed and just thought, 'I'm sick of feeling like this' and I'd rather just end it now and it be over. “So I went to the Humber Bridge and there was literally no one about - I could see the full length of the bridge.
