Disney+ Is Going to Start Offering a Cheaper Subscription Option With Ads

Disney+ is announcing a new tier! The streaming service revealed Friday (March 4) that they will expand their options by introducing an ad-supported subscription, in addition to their option without ads, beginning in late 2022, with plans to expand internationally in 2023. More consumers will be able to access our amazing content. Advertisers will be able to reach a wider audience, and our storytellers will be able to share their incredible work with more fans and families,” the company’s Kareem Daniel said in a statement.

The ad-supported option is part of Disney+’s long-term target of 230-260 million Disney+ subscribers by fiscal year 2024. The launch date and pricing will be announced at a later date.
