Scottish football team is being lobbied by local residents to terminate the contract of convicted domestic abuser Paul Tansey.Whitehill Welfare FC, a small club situated in the small village of Rosewell, Midlothian, have provoked fury from their community after they discreetly signed Tansey, three months after he was sacked by Penicuik Athletic.Tansey subjected Lisa Robertson, a Scottish international who plays for Celtic women, to a 10-month domestic abuse ordeal that included a brutal headbutt.

And the small community of Rosewell has reacted very strongly by launching a petition demanding his contract to be terminated with ‘immediate effect’. Tansey appeared before Edinburgh Sheriff Court in May and pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of conduct which was abusive to his partner between July 2020 and May 2021.As well as his horrific headbut, Tansey also regularly checked Robertson’s phone and would routinely accuse her of cheating on him.
