The collision happened at the junction of Wilmslow Road and Parkfield Road in Didsbury on Wednesday (April 21). Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted that motorists should avoid the area.

The post read: "B5095 Wilmslow Road, West Didsbury. Road is closed in both direction at the junction with Parkfield Road South due to an RTC," TfGM said. "Please use Barlow Moor Road, Palatine Road and Lapwing Lane." It appeared a silver Corsa was involved in a head-on collision with a blue Ford.
